This Privacy Policy explains how SIA "BC Projects" ("we", "us", the "Controller") processes personal data collected through the website bcprojects.lv. We act as the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR").

Through the contact form we collect the data you voluntarily provide:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Location / plot description (optional)
- Program, timeline and budget selections
- Free-text project brief
- Timestamp of your consent
We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies used are strictly necessary for operating the site (for example, keeping the site owner signed in to the admin area). See the Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Responding to your inquiry, preparing a proposal and pre-contractual communication — legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Keeping records of correspondence for legitimate business purposes (project history, dispute defence, quality) — legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Compliance with legal obligations such as accounting and tax law — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c).
4. Recipients and processors
We share personal data only with:
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, acting as processors under a data-processing agreement.
- Email delivery providers used to receive your inquiry.
- Public authorities where we are legally required to disclose data.
We do not sell personal data and we do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area unless the recipient is covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Retention
Inquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, accounting records — 5 years under Latvian law) or is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. After that period the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy;
- Request rectification of inaccurate data;
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- Data portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal);
- Lodge a complaint with the Latvian supervisory authority Datu valsts inspekcija (DVI), or with the authority in your country of residence.
To exercise any of these rights, write to bcprojects@bcprojects.lv. We respond within one month.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and role-based access to the admin area of this website.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the last revision.
